Ashburnham Metals is a family owned and operated business since 1963. In the 1960s, Fred Flaherty Sr., my grandfather, left Quaker Oats and started Ashburnham Metals with his son, Fred Flaherty Jr. The first shop was located in the East City district. They specialized in residential duct work, eavestrough and small commercial jobs.

Initially the company only manufacturered
products in galvanized and mild steel, however,
Fred Jr. saw a growing need in the stainless
and aluminum fields.
The Company evolved into a customized
commercial and industrial maintenance shop
to serve local demand.
In 1988, Chris came on board to make it a 3rd
generation business.
